The invitation
In conjunction with World Heart Day 2026
The Resident Doctors' Association of AIIMS Bhopal invites you to a quarter-marathon on the morning of 2 October 2026. Two distances — a 5 KM run and a 10 KM quarter marathon — both flagged off from the forecourt of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Auditorium and run from the AIIMS Bhopal campus out onto the adjoining Saket Nagar roads and back.
This is an open invitation to neighbouring colleges and universities across Bhopal, and to anyone in the city who wants to start World Heart Day on their feet. Residents, students, faculty, staff, families and first-time runners are all welcome.

Route & venue
A flat, fully-marshalled loop starting and finishing at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Auditorium, running from the campus out onto the adjoining roads and back. The 5 KM is one lap, the 10 KM is two.

Frequently asked questions
Who can participate?
Anyone aged 14 years or above on race day. Participants under 18 must register with a parent or guardian's name and contact number, and carry a signed consent form to bib collection.
Is the event open to people outside AIIMS Bhopal?
Yes. This is an open invitation to neighbouring colleges and universities across Bhopal, and to the general public.
How do I pay?
Registration creates your entry immediately; payment is by UPI to the RDA account. Scan the QR on the payment page, pay the amount shown, then submit your 12-digit UPI reference (UTR). The RDA verifies it within 48 hours and your bib goes live.
When do I collect my bib and T-shirt?
Bib expo at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Auditorium on Thursday, 01 October 2026, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Carry your QR ticket and a photo ID. Limited same-morning collection from 5:00 AM on race day.
Can my college or hospital register a group?
Yes. Register everyone at once at /marathon/group — enter the roster, each runner is issued their own registration ID and bib, and you pay one discounted invoice for the whole team. Groups of 10 or more get 10% off, 21 or more get 15% and 31 or more get 20%, worked out on your total headcount across both distances. How do I get my e-certificate?
Every confirmed runner gets a personalised e-certificate carrying their name, race and BIB number. From 02 October 2026, 10:00 AM, open it at rdaaiimsb.in/marathon/certificate with the email and mobile number you registered with — it is also linked from your ticket page. Download it as a PDF or image; the QR on it lets anyone confirm it is genuine.
Is the registration fee refundable?
Registration fees are non-refundable, but your entry may be transferred to another eligible participant up to 7 days before race day by writing to the RDA.
What medical support is available?
AIIMS Bhopal doctors staff the start, finish and every hydration point, with AED-equipped marshals on course and an ambulance on standby. Declare any medical condition during registration — it is printed on the reverse of your bib.
